Activities

Cheddar Valley Community Church

Cheddar Valley Community Church meets every Sunday evening 5.30-7pm, with a children's group available. We are ordinary people, living real lives, making mistakes, experiencing joy and doing the best we can with what we have. We are each taking our next steps to becoming more like Jesus and helping others do the same. It doesn't matter who you are or where you're from or what you've done. You are of infinite worth to God and us. Wherever you are in life, you have a purpose and we want to help you become the person God created you to be. We'd love to welcome you on Sunday.

Mendip Players

The Mendip Players is a friendly local theatre group, staging three productions a year. We take new members at any point in the year and are always happy to welcome actors, techies, wardrobe, set builders, makeup artists - in fact, if you have a skill, we can use it!

We also have a thriving youth group which focuses on stage craft for 10 - 17 year olds. Working towards one show a year, we encourage our young people to take part in all areas of production, including direction, tech, stage management, wardrobe and makeup.

The Mendip Players meet every Wednesday from 7.30 - 9.30pm and Mendip Players Youth meet every Tuesday (term time) from 5 - 6.30pm

Yoga with Mary

Classes take place every Monday afternoon(1:30 – 3pm) and evening(6:45-8:15pm).

Yoga is for everyone and has so many benefits; it improves strength, flexibility, balance and agility, calms the mind, brings greater awareness of the body, helps you to deal better with anxiety and stress, can improve sleep and gives you some ‘me time’.

These classes are not pose perfect workouts. Everyone is treated as an individual; modifications and options (including chairs in the afternoon session) are given which allows each person to enjoy their Yoga practice.

We integrate our body, breath and mind with a focus on breathing, stretching, relaxation and meditation, at a comfortable pace for everyone, no matter what age, ability or Yoga experience.

If you are looking for something to improve your well-being why don’t you come along and see for yourself; we are a friendly group.
